EPPS provides the methods and the means to increase knowledge of the profession, introduce new tools and keep current on technology advancements.
EPPS members also have unique opportunities to personally connect with the industry’s top editors and experts -- putting faces together with bylines is a signature EPPS education benefit.
An informal, inclusive, “tell-it-like-it-is” tone transcends all aspects of the EPPS education agenda.
EPPS educational opportunities are extensive and include:

Entertainment PR’s movers and shakers gather at the comprehensive all-day workshop, offering back-to-back panels of entertainment PR case studies and tricks of the trade. Speakers and panelists include journalists, celebrities, senior executives from film studios, TV networks, home video, music and more. Past media sponsors have included Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. For anyone who works in entertainment PR or who is considering the profession, this is a “must attend” event.
Both the Los Angeles and New York chapters of EPPS conduct meetings with cutting edge information relevant to the entertainment public relations profession. The topics are comprehensive, attracting top-tier journalists that are nearly impossible to reach by phone. Subjects include: TV Show Bookers, Media Distribution Strategies and Services, Internet PR Strategies, and Freelance Journalists. Guests have included bookers, editors and reporters from hundreds of outlets including Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, The Today Show, KTLA, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Envelope, Animation Magazine, and leading service providers.
Meetings in Los Angeles are typically conducted monthly at the headquarters of ICG (International Cinematographers Guild), the home of the Publicists Guild on Sunset Boulevard. New York chapter meeting locations vary. Please see Events for more information.
Get the answers you really need to succeed. “Meet the Mentor” provides an informal opportunity to network with senior PR executives. “Meet the Mentor” sessions typically precede monthly panel discussions. Get top-level advice on your current campaign, how to land a job, how to approach a specific media outlet, and more. No question is off-limits!

SCOOP, Seminars for the Savvy Publicist
Designed to accelerate the public relations on-the-job training process, SCOOP delivers seminars with appeal for companies global to small. Individuals can jumpstart their careers in a six-hour intensive one-day program, which features success examples based in the entertainment industry.
